Hi! I'm Bethany, a voice teacher and music & stage director local to Corpus Christi. From advanced singers to complete beginners, I'm dedicated to helping you with your singing journey!

A soprano from Corpus Christi, TX, I have performed in many musicals at the Harbor Playhouse. I hold a B.A. in Music - Voice from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and a M.M. in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Formerly a mezzo-soprano, I performed with both the musical theater ensemble and Opera Theater at the conservatory, the roles including Sarah in Quilters (Musical), The Mother in Stravinsky's Mavra, and Bianca in Britten's Rape of Lucretia. I also performed the role of Vera Boronel in The Consul by Menotti with Berkeley Chamber Opera. I was selected as a full scholarship recipient for Seattle Opera's inaugural opera academy in 2017 where I performed the role of Ma Moss in The Tender Land by Copland. I wrote and edited for Modern Singer Magazine and was the author of the "Truth Talk" series. I was also a founder of the Houston Opera On Tap chapter. Highly versed in sacred music, I have sung professionally for many religions and denominations.

Many of my current students have won prestigious awards from the Music International Grand Prix, MAP-IMC, Great Composer's Competition, Hal Leonard Vocal Competition, and more. Students have also received scholarships and been accepted to music programs at UT Rio Grand Valley and Berklee College of Music. Students have also been accepted to  prestigious summer programs such as Interlochen, San Antonio Broadway Theater, Houston Grand Opera, and Oklahoma City Musical Theater. As Voice Lessons CC is my business, I was awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year from Del Mar's Small Business Development Center in 2024.

As a stage director, I have directed Suessical (2021), James and the Giant Peach (2023), and Fun Home (2023) all at the Harbor Playhouse. I have also music directed Avenue Q (2023), Highschool Musical (2023) and vocal directed Clue (2022). Also a frontier in children's theater in the coastal bend, she co-directs studio theater intensives at the Harbor Playhouse. So far they have put on MTI's Junior Review Raise Your Voice (2024) and Junie B. Jones the Musical Jr. (2024)  She often offers free masterclasses to the community through Harbor Playhouse as well.
